The final decade has made me so superstitious about elections and I’ve spent the final month attempting to not screw something up. Actually, I nonetheless really feel traumatized by 2024. However final evening helped me. It completely feels as if we now have lastly turned a nook and the scales have fallen from the People’ eyes. The midterm elections had been a massacre for the Republicans. The blue tsunami swept away the trash and extra. Democrats took again the Home and Senate. Democrats gained gubernatorial elections and statewide races throughout the map. We went Texas Blue!! Listed below are among the main races:

*TEXAS BLUE!! Gina Hinojosa gained the gubernatorial race, defeating Republican incumbent Greg Abbott. Hinojosa is the primary Hispanic lady to function governor of Texas. Democrat James Talarico additionally defeated Ken Paxton within the Senate race.

*South Carolina has a brand new Democratic senator!! Dr. Annie Andrews defeated Darline Graham, who took over the senatorial seat from her late brother Lindsey Graham.

*Senator Susan Collins lastly received her ass handed to her. Troy Jackson defeated Republican fool Collins in Maine.

*Dr. Amy Acton beat this POS Vivek Ramaswamy within the race for governor of Ohio. This race was outlined by Ramaswamy working commercials with Acton’s mom shedding custody of Acton after the mom’s boyfriend sexually assaulted Acton when she was a baby. Vivek’s message was “Do not vote for the girl who was molested as a baby!” » Ohio voters rejected this message and so did Vivek.

*GEORGIA BLUE!! Senator Jon Ossoff was re-elected comfortably and with Obama-style tailwinds. Keisha Lance Bottoms additionally turned the primary black lady elected governor of a state. To Georgia, y’all!! Again to Ossoff – it would not shock me in any respect if Obama was truly despatched to speak to Ossoff about working for president in 2028.

*Dr. Abdul El-Sayed gained Michigan’s Senate race to grow to be the primary Muslim U.S. senator. He additionally has an Obama-like power.
