The Chilly Warfare is over – once more. Peacock has chosen to not renew its Nineteen Seventies spy thriller Ponieswith Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson, for a second season.
The choice comes 5 months after the interval comedy-drama premiered on January 15. This comes as no shock – whereas the sequence was critically acclaimed with a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes and likewise carried out nicely with common viewers (83%), in the end there weren’t sufficient folks watching to warrant a renewal.
Set in Moscow in 1977, the sequence follows Bea (Clarke) and Twila (Richardson), two “PONIES” (“folks of no curiosity) working as secretaries on the American embassy who grow to be CIA brokers.
The sequence, co-created and govt produced by David Iserson and Susanna Fogel, ended on a number of cliffhangers, leaving many unfastened ends that won’t be resolved.
