The following movie “Whats up Kitty” has discovered its administrators.
David Derrick Jr. (“Moana 2”) and John Aoshima (“Ultraman: Rising”) will direct the movie. Former Paramount Animation president Ramsey Naito (“The Boss Child”) will produce the movie alongside Beau Flynn.

The movie, which spent a number of years in growth, shall be distributed by Warner Bros. Footage Animation and New Line Cinema on July 21, 2028, and marks Whats up Kitty’s Hollywood theatrical debut. The movie will observe Whats up Kitty and her associates on a cinematic journey designed to please audiences of all ages.
The present screenplay is written by Jeff Chan with earlier drafts from Dana Fox, Katie Dippold, Adam Sztykiel, Jenny Jaffe, Lindsey Beer and Tamara Becher-Wilkinson (from a therapy by Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon).
Each administrators have already reached general offers with Warner Bros. Footage Animation beneath the path of Invoice Damaschke. Flynn spent almost a decade working with Sanrio founder Shintaro Tsuji to safe the rights to the character.
Japanese firm Sanrio first launched the lovable feline in 1974 and rapidly unleashed a merchandising juggernaut, with whole shops dedicated to 1000’s of things branded as Whats up Kitty and her associates, corresponding to Expensive Daniel and his superhero alter ego Ichigoman. There’s a Whats up Kitty theme park in Japan, Whats up Kitty cafes, dozens of video video games and quite a few collaborations for high-end clothes and different merchandise geared toward adults. The English-language function movie venture was first introduced by New Line in 2019 and was the primary time Sanrio had licensed the movie rights to the basic cat.
